Elegant hotel in ideal location has spectacular sea views
This four-star
hotel close to the seafront in Ancona is housed in a palazzo that dates back to
the 16th century, which has been beautifully refurbished to evoke the elegant
style the building would have had when it was a noble residence.
Hotel guests are greeted by a grand entrance leading off the Lungomare Vanvitelli into a palatial reception area, where the décor reflects the baroque architecture of the original palace.

The hotel has 39 bedrooms and a small number of
spacious suites, many of which have magnificent views of the seafront and the
unusual ‘elbow’ shape of Ancona’s bay.
The hotel was completely refurbished in 2017 and,
while retaining its original style, now uses the latest technology for the
comfort of guests.
The immaculate bedrooms have plenty of storage and smart comfortable
bathrooms.
The wine bar and restaurant serves a plentiful buffet breakfast using some selected
local products, such as home-made jams.
The hotel has a fitness area and offers room service
and parking facilities and it is also ‘pet friendly’.

A narrow street not far from the hotel entrance leads up into the
lively Piazza del Plebiscito, which has plenty of bars and restaurants and is
also known as Pope’s Square because of the large statue of Pope Clement XII seated
in front of the 13th century Church of San Domenico.
Ancona's duomo, the Romanesque Cathedral of San Ciriaco, occupies an elevated position on top of the Guasco Hill behind the Grand Hotel Palace, offering sweeping views across the city and the port.
